Jonathan Edward Drake, 23, is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated battery after Boise police say he sprayed lighter fluid on a woman late Wednesday night and then threatened her with a lighter.
Boise police were sent to a home in the 1900 block of West Panama Street in Southeast Boise near Broadway Avenue and Interstate 84 around 11 p.m. Wednesday after someone at the residence called Ada County dispatchers to report a fight.
Witnesses told police Drake had been drinking alcohol and when got upset with a female roommate and attacked her, first grabbing her by the throat. Witnesses told police that was when Drake grabbed a canister of lighter fluid, sprayed it on the woman, and threatened her while holding a lighter, according to police reports.
The victim was not burned and did not appear to be seriously injured in the attack, police officials say.
