EAST ST. LOUIS — A 68-year-old East Alton man has pleaded guilty to offering to share child pornography, including some involving bestiality, through the Limewire Internet file-sharing service.
Thomas E. Lowery pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in East St. Louis to possession of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and possession of obscene materials.
Federal agents searched Lowery's home after three separate undercover FBI investigations from August 2008 through November 2008 revealed that Lowery was offering to share files containing images of child pornography through Limewire.
