Next month thousands of basketball fans will flock to downtown for four days of the Big 12 tournament.
Along with 100,000 or so downtown workers.
The sold-out Big 12 tournament is the first major daytime event since the Sprint Center opened last October. And just hours after the men’s champion is crowned on March 16, the St. Patrick’s Day throngs arrive.
In preparation, city officials along with other organizations and entities are feverishly meeting almost daily to ensure that everything goes smoothly — the parking, the traffic, even waits for restaurant tables.
