More than 10,000 homeowners are expected to line up around the Carolina Coliseum next week for a chance to cut their mortgage payments.
A nonprofit that has arrangements with national lenders and has helped thousands of distressed homeowners will bring its Save the Dream Tour to Columbia on March 13-15.
People in or near foreclosure, or struggling to make payments, can talk to a loan counselor and reduce their monthly mortgage payments — on the spot and free of charge, said Bruce Marks, head of the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America and tour organizer.
