A federal report says that 221 people were sickened in Colorado earlier this year after using synthetic marijuana.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that no one died from using the drug, which is described as dried plant material sprayed with various synthetic cannabinoids and then smoked.
But they got sick after using a number of synthetic marijuana products named Black Mamba, Crazy Monkey, Crazy Clown, Dead Man Walking, Funky Monkey, Sexy Monkey, SinX, Spice, TenX, Twilight, and 3X.
The cases were reported in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas. Four stores identified as selling the synthetic pot were shut down by authorities.
Pot stores will begin selling real marijuana in Colorado on Jan. 1, after state voters decided to legalize pot in November of last year.
