Baghdad

- 3 people were killed and 10 injured in a parked car bomb explosion in Zafaraniyah district south west Baghdad at 9,00 pm yesterday evening.

- 18 people were killed and 50 injured in when a suicide car bomber detonated in Al Midan square downtown Baghdad killing 18 people and injuring 50.

- 15 people were killed and 60 were injured in a suicide car bomb attack at Al Amil neighborhood south west Baghdad around 1,50 pm targeting a Shiite mosque ( A'ama mosque) after prayers had finished their prayers , 4 houses with a high building used as a store for car spare parts were damaged in the explosion.

- Gunmen wearing the uniform of the national police driving the cars of the national police raided the directorate of information, one of the directorates of ministry of finance and kidnapping 4 German experts working in the directorate.

- Around 3 pm , a roadside bomb exploded at Medayen district ( south of Baghdad)injuring 4 people.

- Around 6 pm, mortars hit Jamiaa neighborhood injuring three people.

- Thirty ( 30) dead bodies were found in Baghdad : ( 20 ) bodies in west Baghdad ( Khark bank ) ; 3 in Hurriya , 3 in Jamiaa , 3 in Amil , 3 in Doura , 2 in Jihad , 2 in Saidiya , 2 in Ameriya , 2 in Shalchiya .

( 10 ) bodies in east Baghdad( Rusafa bank) ; 3 in Ur neighborhood, 2 in Sadr city , 2 in Ubaidi , 1 in Sheikh Umar ,1 in Adhamiya , 1 in Palestine street neighborhood. Diyala ( 66 km north of Baghdad)

- Around mid-day , mortars hit Tahreer neighborhood ( south of Baquba) killing three residents and injuring 9 others.

- Around 2 pm , a roadside bomb exploded at Al-Sada village ( north of Baquba ) injuring one civilian.

- Around 2.30 pm , a roadside bomb exploded at Khaloof village killing one civilian.

- Two dead bodies were found at Abu Tamar village north of Khalis (15 km north of Baquba) .

- Around afternoon of Tuesday , 4 people were killed and 7 injured when gunmen attacked their village ( Hassawiya ) at Muqdadiya district (45 km north east of Baquba ) in Diyala province.

- Around 5 pm , a woman was seriously injured at Salama village at Muqdadiya district ( 45 north east of Baghdad) when gunmen opened fire on her.

- Around 5.15 pm , a roadside bomb exploded at Wajihiya village near a house at Muqdadiya district (45 km north east of Baghdad ) injuring the owner of the house .

- Police at Abi Saida village at Muqdadiya district (45 km north east of Baghdad ) released two men who were kidnapped by gunmen few days ago.

- Kirkuk ( 255 km north of Baghdad)

- Police said that chief editor of Hawadith Al-alisboo ( week news) newspaper Mahmoud Hakeem Mustafa was killed by gunmen driving an Opel sedan after he left the funeral of one of the Turkmen singers in A Musalli downtown Kirkuk city north of Baghdad at 9,30 pm on Monday evening..

- 5 policemen and a woman were injured when an IED exploded targeting a protection patrol of Colonel Taha Salah Al Deen, the chief of Quriyah police station in Kirkuk city on Monday evening.

Salahuddin ( 175 km north of Baghdad )

- Police sources in Tikrit said that the deputy of Salahuddin governor Abdallah Hussein Jbara had survived from an assassination attempt targeted his convoy while going to work. An IED exploded targeting the convoy near Al Alam district east of Tikrit city around 9,35 pm.

- Police said that they found 2 bodies south Toz city north east Tikrit city today.

- 5 policemen were injured in an IED explosion downtown Toz town today morning.

- 3 truck drivers were kidnapped by gunmen south Toz town before mid day.

Mosul ( 396 km north west of Baghdad)

- An officials in the 2nd brigade of the Iraqi army in Mosul city said that 3 gunmen were killed in clashes between members of the brigade and gunmen in Talafar bus station in Talafar town west of Mosul city early morning today. The source said that the brigade force confiscated weapons and ammunition from the place of the incident.

- A police source in Mosul city said that gunmen killed 2 civilians in Al Faisaliyah neighborhood inside Mosul city early morning today.

Basra

- Monday night, gunmen opened fire on a police officer who works for Basra intelligence department at Jimhouriya neighborhood in the midtown of Basra city.

- At down, two policemen injured when the joint forces' headquarter was hit mortars.

- At mid-day of Tuesday, gunmen opened fire on a father and his son near Arousa ( Bride's ) roundabout in the centre of the city killing them at once.
