Baghdad
- Around 7:30 a.m. a road side bomb targeted cleaning workers and a group of citizens were waiting for a bus in the area. 6 citizens were killed and 10 were injured.
- Around 9:30 a.m. an IED exploded in Al Jumhouriya St. near Al Rafidein Bank. Minutes later gunmen clashed with Iraqi army soldiers as they tried to storm the bank. The gunmen fled the place and no casualty report was issued by the Iraqi authorities.
- A road side bomb targeted civilians near Al Mashtal Bridge. 5 people were injured.
- A road side bomb targeted American military convoy in Al Obeidi area. One woman was injured.
- A road side bomb targeted civilians in Al Madaen area causing no casualties.
- Iraqi police found 17 dead bodies throughout the capital today.2 in Ghazaliyah, 1 in Jamiaa, 2 in Saidiyah, 4 in Bayaa, 4 in Amil, 2 in Sadr, 2 in Madaen, 2 in Doura
Kirkuk
- Police found 2 dead bodies on a main road west of Kirkuk yesterday. Sabah Jassim and Ali Nashmi bodies carried signs of torture. Iraqi police said the two citizens were kidnapped a few days ago by gunmen.
- Gunmen kidnapped a truck driver Hama Ali Ahmed, 55 years, near Al Sarha village south of Kirkuk yesterday. Ahmed was heading to Baghdad and a family member said that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of 100, 000 U.S. dollars to release him.
- A road side bomb targeted Iraqi highway police patrols’ vehicle in the industrial area yesterday. 4 policemen were injured.
Ninewah
- A truck bomb targeted residents in Tel Afar northern Iraq. A Scania truck was used in the bombing. 27 citizens were killed and 50 others were injured.
- Gunmen killed Mohammed Abdul Salam, a 25 years old Kurd citizen, in Mosul yesterday.
Basra
- One civilian was killed when a rocket hit his house in central Basra today, police said.
