Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq-Monday 15 October 2007

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy newspaper Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical report. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 6 p.m. a suicide car bomb targeted a restaurant and an amusement park in Al Harthiyah area. Three civilians were killed and 25 others were injured.

- Police found 5 dead bodies throughout Baghdad.1 in Ur, 1 in Sleikh, 1 in Shuala, 1 in Doura, 1 in Jihad.

Diwaniyah

Around 10.30 am: 5 civilians killed and 28 injured include 3 women and 5 children because the clashes that broke out between joint force and gunmen in Diwaniyah. The clashed lasted for half hour and stopped anf after that continued before noon. Police imposed a curfew that will start at 10 p.m.

Salaheddin

Yesterday around 5.00pm: unknown gunmen assassinated three employees of Salaheddin Newspaper one of them was a journalist and others were the driver and the bodyguard. The incident happened in Kirkuk-Riyadh highway near by (Hawdh-18) Village west Kirkuk.

Basra

Police found one dead body in Al Maqal area (8 Kilometers south of Basra). Police identified the deceased as Amen Abul Aziz Al Saadoun after he was kidnapped yesterday.
