The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 8 a.m. gunmen attacked and killed Qutaiba Badr Al Deen, a counselor in the ministry of finance, in Al Jamiaa neighborhood and a body guard of his.

- Around 3:15 p.m. a roadside bomb targeted civilians in Karrada Mariam near the Green Zone, injuring two civilians.

- Around 5:30 p.m. a roadside bomb targeted a national police convoy in Al Kindi street in Al Harthiyah neighborhood, killing one policeman and injuring six others.

- Gunmen killed Eman Hussein, a school principle, in her school in Saidiyah according to residents in the area today.

- Police found 4 dead bodies throughout Baghdad.1 in Sadr, 1 in Mansour, 1 in Amil, 1 in Jihad

Tikrit

- Around 4:30 p.m. a parked car bomb targeted a pssing by police convoy at the entrance of Al Atibaa Street in central Tikrit, killing two people and one child killed and 16 others were injured most of them were policemen.

Mosul

- Two suicide car bombs targeted two police check points in Bab Sinjar area west of Mosul today, injuring 10 policemen and injuring 7 civilians.
