The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

2 unidentified bodies were found in Saidiyah, southwest Baghdad by Iraqi Police today.

A joint Iraqi American force surrounded Bayaa neighbourhood at 3.15 Friday, and conducted search operations there. A sound of an explosion was heard, but no report was made by either military spokesman and no casualties' report was made and the neighbourhood is still blocked at time of publication.

Anbar

A suspicious car was reported to the police in Fallujah. It was taken to the Directorate of Police in the city centre for investigation were it detonated killing the technician, superficially injuring two by standing policemen.

A roadside bomb targeted a joint foot patrol in Bustan Albu Areim area, west Fallujah. The explosion killed 2 American soldiers, injured 1 in addition to killing 2 Iraqi army servicemen, said Fallujah Police. US military said, " A Marine patrol was attacked just northwest of Fallujah by an IED at9:25 this morning. The attack occurred while conducting a dismounted patrol. One interpreter was killed, and there were six Marines wounded. All casualties have been evacuated and are under medical care."

Salahuddin

2 Iraqi army soldiers from Sulaiman Bek were attacked by gunmen near Tuz Khormatu on the main route from Kirkuk to Baghdad Friday.

1 civilian killed and 3 injured in an explosion of a roadside bomb in a small village near the town of Hawija, to the west of Kirkuk this morning.
