The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- A roadside bomb exploded near a police patrol in Zafaraniya neighborhood (east Baghdad) at around 8 a.m., injuring two policemen.

- A roadside bomb exploded near a police patrol near Beirut intersection, injuring three policemen.

- A roadside bomb exploded near a traffic police patrol near the Shaab stadium in central Baghdad, injuring three traffic policemen.

- A roadside bomb detonated on Palestine street in east Baghdad around 4 p.m., injuring five people.

- Police found three dead bodies in Baghdad today : two in east Baghdad( Risafa bank); one on Palestine street, one in the Tigris river at Sinak Bridge in central Baghdad and one in Amil neighborhood in west Baghdad in Karkh bank.

Anbar

- Gunmen riding in a Kia sedan car kidnapped four Sahwa members at a check point in Karma, east Falluja on Saturday night. Three were found dead; one is still missing.

Mosul

- A police officer who was working for the Mosul governorate council was killed by a bomb was put under his car while he was driving it in the Khadraa neighborhood of west Mosul.

- Gunmen killed a policeman in Bashiqa, northeast Mosul).
