Baghdad
A roadside bomb planted next to the outside wall of Deputy of Minister of Education Nihad al Juburi's house in Baijiyah, western Baghdad at 8 a.m. Thursday, damaging the wall and a civilian car, passing by.
A roadside bomb targeted a U.S. military convoy on Ghazaliyah traffic bridge at 9 a.m. today. No casualties were reported.
Gunmen in a speeding car opened fire on candidate for the Party of the Constitution, Ms. Khadija Owaiyid's car, riddling the car but missing Owaiyid who later told the police, "I know who shot at me." This incident took place in Abu Disheer, Doura at noon, Thursday.
Diyala
Police found the decapitated bodies of eight men in the village of Abu Tuma, Khalis district, 15 km to the north of Baquba.
The morgue in Baquba buried, Thursday 30 unidentified bodies in al Shereef graveyard. (Unidentified bodies that are not claimed within two months are buried by the Morgue).
The house of Salim al Zaidi, candidate of al Liqaa Party was blown up while his family was in the house. The family members, however, were unhurt. The explosion destroyed the house, located in Gatoun, to the west of Baquba, and caused damages to two adjacent houses.
A suicide bomber detonated in Dalshad Restaurant, northeastern Khanaqeen at 3 p.m. Thursday killing 15 people, including Dalshad and his two sons, injuring 15 others, said police sources, adding that casualties may rise.
Nineveh
Reporter Salam Arab Doski, was killed by a policeman during a fight, on his doorstep in Wadi Sakhr neighbourhood, western Mosul at 4 p.m. Thursday. Police said it was a personal issue.
Gunmen opened fire upon a policeman in al Jammasa neighbourhood, northeastern Mosul at 5 p.m. and killed him strait away.
A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in Zinjili neighbourhood, western Mosul at around 6 p.m. injuring one civilian and one policeman.
