Baghdad
A parked car bomb targeted a labourers' pool in Alawi neighbourhood, central Baghdad at 7 a.m. Monday killing four civilians, injuring 15.
A parked car bomb targeted the motorcade of Brigadier General Sadoun, Deputy Director of the Internal Security Court in al Niayriyah neighbourhood in northeast Baghdad at 8 a.m. killing two people including one security guard and injuring four including one security guard.
A parked car bomb targeted civilians in a local market in Sadr City, northeast Baghdad at 8.30 a.m. killing 10 civilians, injuring 65 others. Toll is expected to rise, Iraqi police said.
A parked car bomb targeted civilians near a local market in al Husseiniyah district, northeastern Baghdad at 8.30 a.m. killing four civilians, injuring 20 others.
A sticky bomb stuck to a taxi, a white Mitsubishi, detonated near al Rasheed vegetable whole sale market in Doura, southern Baghdad at 9 a.m. injuring two civilians.
Two parked car bombs exploded in Maalif area, southeastern Baghdad at 1 p.m. Monday; one near the clinic of Dr.Hafith, a well known doctor in the neighbourhood, and the other near a open air market just down the street. Twelve civilians were killed in both explosions, and 25 were injured.
A roadside bomb detonated in Athemiyah neighborhood in north Baghdad at 5 p.m. Three civilians were injured.
Kirkuk
A suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest targeted an Iraqi Army patrol in the town of Dhuluiyah, around 90 km to the south of Tikrit, as it was carrying out a raid and search operation at noon Monday injuring seven soldiers.
Nineveh
The U.S. military killed an Iraqi civilian by mistake in Wadi Hajar, to the south of Mosul, Iraqi police said. The U.S. military did not confirm the incident.
