Baghdad
- Around 9 a.m. gunmen attacked some jewelers’ shops in Toubchi neighborhood in northern Baghdad on Sunday. Three people were wounded.
- Gunmen assassinated a police commando officer, lieutenant colonel Abdul Rahman Ibrahim in Nu’airiyah neighborhood in eastern Baghdad while he was driving his own car in the area around 9 p.m.
- Around 9:30 p.m. a roadside bomb detonated in Zafraniyah neighborhood in southeast Baghdad on Sunday. Five people were wounded including three policemen.
Nineveh
A car bomb targeted a U.S. military convoy in al Faisaliyah neighbourhood, eastern Mosul at around 2.30 p.m. Sunday. The car bomb exploded as soon as the convoy passed, injuring seven civilians including a ten year old boy.
- A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in the Wihda neighborhood in eastern Mosul on Sunday. One civilian was wounded.
