Baghdad
A roadside bomb targeted ministry of oil police vehicles in Abu Nowas Street, central Baghdad at 8 a.m. Thursday, injuring three policemen and three civilians.
Three Katyusha rockets were fired from Ghazaliyah neighbourhood, western Baghdad towards Baghdad International Airport, Thursday. The U.S. military confirmed the incident and announced the death of one soldier.
Nineveh
A roadside bomb went off near a teacher's house in al Kafa'at neighbourhood, downtown Mosul, Thursday, causing material damages in the house only.
A gunman was going around intimidating shop owners in Seyideti al Jameela neighbourhood in east Mosul, Thursday, into subscribing to what he called the resistance when police came around and after a short confrontation, killed him.
A police patrol found the body of a twenty-year-old male in Thawra neighbourhood, Thursday. The body had signs of fire shots to the head and chest.
