A magnetic bomb stuck to a civilian car detonated in Ameriyah neighbourhood, west Baghdad, Thursday morning, killing the driver and injuring the passenger.
A magnetic bomb stuck to a Kia mini-bus detonated as it approached the checkpoint, in Jisr Diyala area, southeastern Baghdad at 2 p.m. Thursday, injuring three civilians and one policeman.
Kirkuk
Gunmen shot and killed a civilian in the southern part of the city of Kirkuk, Wednesday evening, using pistols fitted with silencers.
Nineveh
Gunmen shot and killed a civilian in al Majmu'a neighbourhood in north Mosul, Wednesday evening.
Gunmen shot and killed a civilian in Egab valley, western Mosul, Wednesday evening.
Gunmen shot and killed a civilian in Fallah neighbourhood, eastern Mosul, Wednesday evening.
A father of six, who was detained for some time in Mosul shot his wife and six children and then shot himself, Thursday. He was released from detention a few months ago, said Iraqi police. Four of the children died. He, his wife and the remaining two children are in critical condition.
Confrontations broke out between gunmen and a police force in Nablus neighbourhood, Thursday afternoon, western Mosul during which one policeman and one gunman were killed.
