The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau

Baghdad

-Two people were wounded when a bomb detonated in Adhemiyah neighborhood in east Baghdad on Sunday evening.

-Three people were wounded when a bomb detonated near the office of the Iraqi Tribes in Mada'in area in southeast Baghdad on Sunday evening.

-On Sunday evening, one civilian was killed and seven others were wounded when gunmen in Taji district north Baghdad opened fire upon a minibus carrying Shiite visitors who were in their way to Samarra city.

-Gunmen killed a mother and her three daughters after breaking in their house in Hurriyah neighborhood in northwest Baghdad on Monday morning.

-In Mada'in area, gunmen broke in a house on Monday morning killing a whole family of eight people.

-Five people were wounded when two katusha rockets hit the green zone in downtown Baghdad.

-Gunmen killed a university lecturer on Qanat Street east Baghdad on Monday morning.

-A policeman was killed by a sniper in Naser intersection in downtown Baghdad on Monday morning.

-One civilian was killed and three other people including a high rank office were wounded when a suicide car bomber detonated near the department of the internal affairs in downtown Ramadi on Monday morning.

Nineveh

-Two policemen were killed when gunmen opened fire upon police checkpoint in downtown Mosul city on Monday morning.

-Gunmen killed two Iraqi soldiers in Sumer neighborhood in south Mosul on Monday morning.
