Baghdad
A home made bomb that was left inside a pharmacy in Amil neighbourhood, exploded early Wednesday, causing material damages.
A roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi army patrol in Saba al Bor, Taji, 20 km to the north of Baghdad at around 10 a.m. Wednesday, killing one serviceman and injuring three servicemen and one civilian.
A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Saidiyah, south Baghdad at 11 a.m. Monday, injuring two.
A roadside bomb exploded under the traffic bridge in Mikanic neighbourhood, Doura, south Baghdad at noon, Wednesday, killing one civilian and injuring another two.
A police patrol found Wednesday one unidentified body in Hurriyah neighbourhood, northwest Baghdad. It was the body of a man in his thirties with gun fire wounds in the chest and head.
Diyala
Three suicide bombings shook central Baquba, Wednesday morning. A car bomb driven by a suicide bomber targeted the headquarters of the quick response police force at around 9 a.m. A second car bomb targeted the police personnel department minutes later. Around 40 minutes later, one suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt and dressed in a police officer's uniform got into one of the ambulances transporting the wounded to Baquba General Hospital, walked into the hospital and detonated there. The explosions killed at least 33 people and injured 55 most of whom were policemen. Toll may rise because of the serious injuries sustained by many of the wounded, Iraqi police said. Two more car bombs were discovered and defused by the security forces, and a curfew has been imposed upon the city for both pedestrians and vehicles.
Basra
An insurgent threw a home made bomb into a café that serves alcohol and that is frequented by students in Basra University. Eight students were injured.
Nineveh
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the private car of a policeman detonated killing the policeman, while off duty, Wednesday, in Hamdaniyah district, 30 km to the east of Mosul.
