Wasit
A parked car bomb followed by a home made bomb targeted civilians in the main marketplace in the town of Swaira, 40 km to the south of Baghdad, at around 11 a.m. Monday. The explosion killed 16 civilians and injured more than 80.
Babil
Two car bombs parked outside the textile factory in the city of Hilla exploded Monday at around 2 p.m. Monday, at the time when workers go home. A third explosion, a home made bomb planted not far from the first explosion, shook the textile factory at 2.50 p.m. targeting the crowd of people gathered to lend a hand to paramedics at the explosions site. The explosions killed at least 55 and injured 164. Security authorities say that the toll may rise because many are seriously injured.

Armed men shot and killed a high school student near his home in Rashidiyah neighbourhood, north Mosul, Monday.
A roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi army patrol in al Islah al Ziraai neighbourhood, west Mosul, Monday, injuring one soldier.
Armed men in a speeding car opened fire at a family just getting into their car in front of their home in Tel al Rumman, west Mosul, Monday, killing the father and the son and injuring two women.
A suicide car bomb driven by a suicide bomber targeted a checkpoint in Gogjelli neighbourhood, in the city of Mosul at 9 a.m. Monday, killing two Peshmerga (Kurd militia supported by the regional government of Kurdistan region).
Anbar
Two home made bombs planted near the house of a police officer in Fallujah, exploded at 8 a.m. Monday, injuring two members of his family.
The house of police chief of Jolan police station, Captain Falah Hmood was blown up, early Monday. The house was vacated for repairs, but two members of the neighbours' family were injured by the explosion.
Two roadside bombs targeted a checkpoint in Nazzal neighbourhood, south Fallujah, killing one police officer and one civilian and injuring ten people most of whom were policemen.
Basra
A parked car bomb targeted civilians in the main motorbike marked in the old city in Basra that resulted in more than 20 civilians killed and more than 100 injured, according to health officials in Basra, according to health officials in Basra.
A parked car bomb in Khamsa Mile area, to the north of the city of Basra targeted civilians in a market specialized in electronics and mobile phones at 7 p.m. Monday. A second car bomb, a GMC SUV parked a few meters away from the first car bomb exploded half an hour later targeting the crowd gathered to help transport the victims of the first explosion. Casualties stand at 10 killed and 126 injured according to health officials in Basra.
