Baghdad
A roadside bomb targeted a U.S. military convoy in Taji district, a northern Baghdad suburb, at 10 a.m. Thursday. No casualties were reported by the U.S. military.
An unidentified body was found in Saidiyah neighbourhood, south Baghdad, late Wednesday.
Anbar
Armed men raided a home in Fhailat village, 30 km to the south of Fallujah, and shot dead the father, mother, uncle and three sons, one of them a baby, and seriously injured the four-year-old daughter. The father belonged to a tribe that was vocal about their anti-Qaida views.
Erbil
Iranian artillery bombardment resumed late Wednesday, targeting Choman district once again, but causing no human casualties because whole villages have been abandoned.
Salahuddin
A magnetic bomb was stuck to a civilian car and detonated from afar, in al Asri neighbourhood in central Tikrit, Wednesday, injuring the driver.
Diyala
Two armed men on a speeding motorbike opened fire at a group of civilians near al Amin School in al Amin neighbourhood, central Baquba at 11.30 p.m. Wednesday, killing one young man and injuring another.
