Baghdad
Two roadside bombs exploded one after the other in Yarmouk neighbourhood, west Baghdad, at 7 a.m. Thursday, targeting an Iraqi army checkpoint near a social club. The explosions killed one civilian and injured four civilians and three soldiers.
A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Adil neighbourhood, west Baghdad, at 8.30 a.m. Thursday, injuring three.
A roadside bomb targeted the commander of Sahwa in Albu Aitha, Mustafa al Juboori, in Dora, south Baghdad, killing one of his people and injuring twelve others, including Juboori himself.
Nineveh
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the outer gate of a house in Quds neighbourhood detonated, Thursday, seriously injuring a 12-year-old girl who lived in the house.
Kirkuk
Armed men opened fire at police captain Muhammed Ahmed in Khadhraa neighbourhood, in the centre of the city of Kirkuk, late Wednesday. He was badly hurt and died in hospital.
