Baghdad
A Katyusha rocket slammed into the Green Zone at 4 a.m. Monday. No casualties were reported.
A roadside bomb targeted a Federal Police patrol in Zafaraniyah neighbourhood, southeast Baghdad, Monday, killing one police officer and injuring another.
Two roadside bombs exploded within minutes of each other targeting civilians in I'lam neighbourhood, southwest Baghdad, Monday, injuring three young men.
Five mortar rounds slammed into the Green Zone late Sunday. No casualties were reported.
A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Ray neighbourhood, west Baghdad, Sunday, injuring one young man.
Nineveh
Armed men threw a home made bomb at a federal police checkpoint in Zinjilly neighbourhood, west Mosul, Monday, injuring seven people including one police officer.
Two suicide bombers wearing explosive vests attempted to attack an army checkpoint in Domez neighbourhood, south Mosul, Monday, but were detected killed before they had a chance to detonate the explosives.
Armed men in a speeding car shoot and kill a civilian driving his car in Baladiyat neighbourhood, east Mosul, Sunday.
The body of a 13-year-old boy was found in Mithaq neighbourhood, east Mosul, Sunday. There were gun shot wounds in the head and chest.
A home made bomb planted by the pavement in Khezraj neighbourhood, central Mosul, exploded, Sunday, injuring a little girl.
A suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest tried to enter al Hadbaa Police Station in Bab al Toob neighbourhood, central Mosul, Sunday, but was spotted by security officers who challenged him and tried to stop him. He did not stop and so was shot down by the police, but he still detonated his vest and the explosion seriously injured two policemen.
Anbar
A female suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest was able to get through the security-check at the entrance of the Governorate building in central Ramadi, Sunday, and headed for the office of the Deputy Governor, Hikmat Hussein Zaidan. She detonated at the security-check outside his office. The explosion killed four people and injured another 22.
Sheikh Abdulaleem Abdulrahman, director of Fatwa Office in Anbar province, was assassinated in his home, Saturday, by armed men who pretended to ask for counsel and entered his garden, only to pull out pistols fitted with silencers. They shot him three times in the chest. They ran out, got into their white Toyota and sped away. He died on the way to hospital.
Basra
A roadside bomb targeted a U.S. military convoy on the main thoroughfare in Safwan area, 60 km to the west of the city of Basra, Saturday, injuring two American soldiers, according to local police authorities. No comment was available from the U.S. military at time of publication.
A roadside bomb targeted a private security convoy in Jwaibida area, 50 km to the northwest of Basra, Saturday, causing only slight material damages to one of the vehicles.
Kirkuk
A car bomb parked near the Sunni Endowment Office in the centre of Kirkuk city detonated, late Sunday, targeting the motorcade of the Head of the Sunni Endowment, mulla Mustafa Hussein, who is also a member of the Kurd coalition. The explosion injured 13 people including Hussein, and caused great material damages to five nearby houses and a number of civilian cars that were parked near by.
Salahuddin
A roadside bomb targeted an army checkpoint in Shirqat district, to the north of Tikrit, Monday, killing one soldier and injuring four others.
