Baghdad
A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Ray neighbourhood, Bayaa, southwest Baghdad, at 7 a.m. Monday, injuring three.
Two home made bombs were detected in Risala neighbourhood, south Baghdad, and detonated under control without causing any casualties.
Two roadside bombs targeted the motorcade of Mehdi Dhamad, deputy Minister of Agriculture, in Gaylani intersection, central Baghdad, Monday, injuring one of Dhamad's security guards and four civilians.
A roadside bomb targeted a National Police patrol in Beirut Square, northeast Baghdad, at 9 a.m. Monday, injuring one policeman.
A roadside bomb targeted a Federal Police patrol in Ghazaliyah, west Baghdad, at 2 p.m. Monday, injuring one policeman and two civilians.
A home made bomb was planted outside a store that sold alcoholic beverages in Bab al Sharqi, central Baghdad at 11.30 p.m. Sunday, injuring two civilians and causing extensive material damages to the shop.
Diyala
A car bomb parked near a car dealership and a much frequented cafe in New Baquba, central Baquba, detonated, at 9.30 p.m. Monday, killing at least nine civilians and injuring 27 more. Toll may rise, said security authorities, for the severity of some of the injuries.
Nineveh
A car bomb driven by a suicide bomber targeted a private security company's convoy in Zira'i neighbourhood, north Mosul, Monday, injuring five civilians and causing material damages to the nearby houses. Eye witnesses said that one of the convoy's vehicles was direct hit, and burned up. However, no casualties were reported by the private security company that is thought to be British, said Iraqi authorities.
Armed men in a speeding car opened fire and shot former provincial council member, Ibraheem al Mereer, dead in Qayara district, south Mosul, as he left the nearby mosque after evening prayers, Sunday.
Armed men shot a man dead in front of his house in Tel al Rumman neighbourhood, west Mosul, Sunday.
A roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi army patrol in Baladiyat neighbourhood, north Mosul, Saturday, seriously injuring two army servicemen and one civilian.
A roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi army patrol in Badush neighbourhood, west Mosul, Saturday, injuring one soldier.
Anbar
A roadside bomb targeted a Kia pick-up truck crossing the old bridge in Fallujah, at 10.30 a.m. Monday, killing the driver, Muzahim al Essawi, a Sahwa member and the son of the Sahwa commander in Albu Essa area, and seriously injuring the passenger.
