Three armed men stormed the house of Dr. Intisar Mohammed Hasen, Administrator of Ilwiyah Maternity Hospital, at 5 a.m. Wednesday, killed Hasen and left her husband and son hand-bound and blindfolded. The incident took place in Jadriyah, Karrada, central Baghdad.
A roadside bomb exploded in Maysaloon Square, east Baghdad, Wednesday morning, without any casualties.
A roadside bomb targeted a U.S. military convoy in Taji, north Baghdad, Wednesday. No casualties were reported.

A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol near an Iraqi army checkpoint in Tel Afar, west Mosul, injuring two policemen.
The bodies of two yong men in their twenties were found in Tahrir neighbourhood, east Mosul.

Armed men thre a home made bomb at a Sahwa checkpoint in Dhuluiyah, to the north of Tikrit, killing five Sahwa members.
