A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car detonated near the Establishment of Political Prisoners in Karrada, central Baghdad, at 8 a.m. Monday, injuring two civilian passers by.
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car detonated in Chikook neighbourhood, northeast Baghdad, at 8.30 a.m. Monday, seriously injuring the driver, an employee in the labour ministry.
A roadside bomb targeted the motorcade of science and technology minister, in Jadriyah neighbourhood, Karrada, central Baghdad, Monday morning, killing one of the minister's security guards and injuring four civilians.
A roadside bomb targeted the motorcade of police Brig. Gen. Amer Hameed, head of security for embassies in Karkh (Baghdad, west of the river), in Nidhal Street, central Baghdad, at around noon, Monday, injuring the senior officer, two of his security guards and four civilians. Some of the injuries were severe.
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car, detonated in New Baghdad, east Baghdad, Monday, seriously injuring the driver.
Men armed with pistols fitted with silencers opened fire at police First Lieu. Hashim Sattar, in front of his home in Palestine Street, east Baghdad, Monday, causing severe injuries leaving him between life and death in the hospital.
Anbar
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the private car of Tahrir Kathim, a media assistant who works for U.S. backed al Hurra satellite channel, detonated Monday morning killing him straight away.
Babil
Armed men shot and killed commander of Sahwa in Jurf al Sakhar area, to the north of Hilla, Monday.
The body of a woman with gun shot wounds was found in front of her house in the city of Hilla, capital of the province, Monday.
Diyala
Several stun bombs went off in Shuhdaa neighbourhood, Jalowlaa district, 120 km to the northeast of Baquba. When a joint (Iraqi) army-police force went to the site, a home made bomb targeted them killing four, including two officers and injuring another two of the joint force.
Nineveh
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the private car of Khamis Mahmoud, local council member in Hamam al Aleel, south Mosul, detonated late Monday afternoon, causing only material damages to the car.
A roadside bomb targeted an army patrol in Wahda neighbourhood, south Mosul, Monday, killing one soldier.
Armed men stormed the home of Ibraheem al Qassab, a professor in the College of Education, Mosul University, in Jami'a neighbourhood, east Mosul, Monday, and shot the professor dead.
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car parked along the main thoroughfare in Qayara district, south Mosul, detonated, Monday, just as an army patrol passed by, injuring 11 people, including two soldiers. Some of the injuries were severe.
