On the eve of today's Republican primary election, several of the 10 candidates for county commission said Monday they plan to make themselves as visible as possible to voters.
"I'm doing the same thing I've been doing the last two weeks: standing outside, waving at corners and going to talk to people," said District 5 candidate Benwayne Morrison. "I need to see as many people as I can."
Expect to see candidates and their supporters holding signs and waving at the busiest intersections in town today. Morrison planned on standing at the corner of State Road 70 and Lakewood Ranch Boulevard.
