Unsuccessful U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller is following in the footsteps of former Gov. Sarah Palin and signing on to an agency to arrange paid speaking engagements for him.
Miller sent out a written statement today saying he’s entered into an agreement with 21st Century Speakers to represent him.
The statement said Miller is “anxious to be able to meet and speak with people around the country about the sort of change that I believe our nation must make to get back on track."
The agency’s speaker list ranges from a Thomas Jefferson impersonator to former president George H.W. Bush. The web site says the agency takes a commission from the speaker’s fee.
Miller conceded his loss to Sen. Lisa Murkowski on New Year’s Eve after state and federal courts dismissed his lawsuit to have misspelled write-in ballots for Murkowski tossed out.
Miller said when he conceded that he wouldn’t reopen his Fairbanks law practice and this is the first word from him on how he plans to spend his time post-election.
