Vice President Joe Biden will travel to Japan, China and Korea the first week of December, the White House announced Monday.
Few details have been released, but he will stop in Tokyo and Beijing to discuss a series of issues, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement.
He will also go to Seoul to address "bilateral, regional and global challenges, including in particular our close cooperation and coordination to address security threats."
Last month, President Barack Obama canceled a trip to Asia because of the federal government shutdown.
