Netflix's co-founder and chief executive officer Reed Hastings Tuesday offered President Barack Obama a cameo on his hit show, House of Cards -- after Obama joked that he had hoped Hastings had arrived at the White House with advance copies of the show.
Obama mused a bit enviously of the show's portrayal of Washington D.C., saying he wished "things were that ruthlessly efficient.”
And he noted that actor Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood, was "getting a lot of stuff done.”
Of course, as The Wrap put it, Underwood "will resort to murder, sexual impropriety, blackmail, fraud and a litany of evils to grease the legislative process."
Hastings and other tech CEOs were meeting at the White House on weightier topics than guest appearances: chiefly their concerns with the National Security Agency's surveillance operations.
