New Jersey residents are still behind their governor.
Gov. Chris Christie "gets positive marks on key characteristics," according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.
By 51-41 percent, they say he's honest and trustworthy, and by 74-23 percent they call him a strong leader.
Fifty-five percent approve of the job he's doing, though that's down from his all time high of 74 percent from 11 months ago.

His job approval has dropped from the stratosphere, but it's still double-digit positive, pretty much where he was before his Superstorm Sandy hug with President Barack Obama," said Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. |
Christie has been under fire lately because aides ordered access to the George Washington Bridge closed in an effort at political retaliation. Christie says he didn't kow about the order, and constituents tend to believe him.
By 3-1, those familiar with the incident say they believe he did not personally order the September traffic jam.
