President Barack Obama will meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan on Feb. 14 at Sunnylands, the sumptuous retreat of the late publishing magnate Walter Annenberg in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
The United States and the Jordan are close friends and historic partners that have worked together to promote peace, prosperity, and reform, according to a statement from the White House.
Obama looks forward to discussing opportunities to strengthen the U.S.-Jordan strategic partnership and advancing political, economic and security cooperation. The two leaders will speak on regional developments, including Middle East peace and Syria.
Obama and China’s president, Xi Jinping, met last summer at the same retreat for two days of talks.
