The federal government has shut down for business today due to snow in DC -- and the White House is celebrating a snow day of its own.
Press Secretary Jay Carney's daily press briefing was cancelled and Vice President Joe Biden scrapped plans to travel to Cambridge, Maryland to deliver remarks to the House Democratic Caucus.
And President Obama -- who Wednesday had postponed a rollout of a new initiative to boost opportunities for black men and boys -- is apparently staying in. The White House issued a "travel photo lid," -- meaning Obama won't be out and about -- at 9:45 a.m.
