House Assistant Minority Leader James Clyburn, D-S.C., said the political operation that helped President Barack Obama get re-elected in 2012 needs to get involved in helping congressional Democrats in this year's House of Representatives and Senate races.
'I do not believe that fund-raising will be the key__in November. I think organization will be key,' Clyburn said on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' Monday. 'And if we can get the White House to come in, or at least the president's political operations to help us at the state and local levels the way they did in Ohio and Florida, the mechanisms they put in place were just great.'
Asked whether Obama is currently providing such assistance to Democrats, Clyburn said 'I don't think so.'
'Well, no, I'm gonna get on the phone and ask him,' Clyburn said.
