The Senate could be see a lot of energy Tuesday.
It's expected to take a key procedural vote, starting at 11 a.m., dealing with energy efficiency legislation. Chances are the vote will allow the bill to proceed.
The bipartisan bill could become a vehicle, though, for other amendments, perhaps dealing with health care, climate change and other hot topics.
Also in the mix is the Keystone XL pipeline. There's considerable support for a vote proceeding with the project, and that could get its own vote.
Bottom line: Lawmakers are negotiating how to proceed, what to consider and so on.
