Boehner goes blue, tells Senate Dems to ‘get off their a**’ on DHS bill

By William Douglas - McClatchy Washington Bureau

February 11, 2015 05:06 PM

House Speaker John Boehner went blue again, unleashing a curse word Wednesday to express his disapproval over the state of limbo of a bill that would fund the Department of Homeland Security and reverse several of President Barack Obama’s executive actions on immigration.

A day after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said that he can’t move the House-crafted bill in his chamber because of a Democratic filibuster, Boehner, R-Ohio, suggested that it was time for senators to get up off their rumps.

Except that he didn’t use the word ‘rumps.’

‘The House has done its job,’ Boehner told reporters. ‘Why don’t you ask the Senate Democrats when are they going to get off their a** and do something other than to vote no?’

Boehner has a history of salty talk laced with S-words and at least one F-bomb. The folks of The Fix over at The Washington Post offered a handy-dandy graphic Wednesday of the speaker speaking foul.
