The Prince is coming. Take two.
Just a few months after his son’s visit, the Prince of Wales will be in Washington.
President Barack Obama will welcome Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall for a meeting in the Oval Office on March 19. Vice President Joe Biden will attend.
The Prince and Duchess will visit the country March 17-20 to engage in activities to promote the United Kingdom’s partnership with the United States in areas, including combatting climate change, creating opportunities for youth, encouraging corporate social responsibility and preserving historical and cultural links, according to a statement from White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.
The Royals will also visit Mt. Vernon, the Armed Forces Retirement Home and the National Archives, where Prince Charles will mark the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta.
