President Barack Obama will host Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for an official visit to the White House on April 28.
The leaders will celebrate the relationship between the nations developed during the 70 years since the end of World War II, according to White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said.
Obama and Abe are expected to discuss a range of economic, security and global issues, including the Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement and climate change.
The visit will include a State Dinner that evening.
