People who criticize him for not finishing college are expressing elitist views, says Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
"That's the kind of elitist, government-knows-best, top-down approach from Washington we've had for years," the potential Republican presidential candidate told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
"We’ve had an Ivy League trained lawyer in the White House for the last six years who is pretty good at reading off a teleprompter but has done a pretty lousy job leading his country. I'd rather have a fighter who's actually proven he can take on the big government special interests and win.”
Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean criticized Walker’s lack of a degree last week on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“The issue is, how well educated is this guy?” asked Dean, a physician who sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004. “I worry about people being president of the United States not knowing much about the world and not knowing much about science.”
Walker also discussed with Kelly a union protest outside his parents’ home. Workers were protested his proposed budget, which they maintained would damage public schools and colleges.
"Taking it our in front of someone's home, particularly with elderly parents, that’s a little too much,” Walker said.
