Ted Cruz yelled fire at a crowded New Hampshire appearance, and scared a 3-year-old girl.
The Texas Republican was speaking in Barrington, N.H., Sunday and declared, “The Obama economy is a disaster, Obamacare is a train wreck, and the Obama-Clinton foreign policy of leading from behind.The whole world is on fire.”
Huh? Little Julie Trant of Londonderry was puzzled.
“The world is on fire?” she asked.
Darn right, Cruz said.
“The world is on fire. Yes! Your world is on fire,” he said as the audience laughed nervously.
“But you know what?” he asked. “Your mommy, here and everyone, is here to make sure the world you grow up in is even better.”
He then continued his bashing of the status quo, saying “We need to stop the out-of-control regulators who are descending like locusts on small business around this country.” And “There are 110,000 agents at the IRS. We need to put a padlock on that building and take every one of those 110,000 agents and put them on our southern border.”
