It’s a three way Republican tie.
First in the nation results are in for the first in the nation New Hampshire primary, and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, real estate mogul Donald Trump and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio are tied with nine votes each. Among Democrats, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Ind.-Vt. is ahead.
It all means virtually nothing. Those are the results of a handful of votes just after midnight in three locations that pride themselves in being the nation’s first. They’re not good predictors of what will happen later in the day; in 2012. Jon Huntsman, the former Utah governor, did well. That proved to be the peak of his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

This year, Dixville Notch, probably the best known of the locations, saw Kasich defeat Trump, 3 to 2. Sanders swept the Democratic rate with four votes.
In Millsfield, Cruz cruised over Trump, 9 to 3. Kasich got one vote. On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton eked out a 2 to 1 win over Sanders.
Sanders rebounded in Hart’s Location, topping Clinton 12 to 7. Among Republicans, Kasich won over Trump, 5 to 4.
The rest of the state’s polls started opening at 6 A.M.
