- Donald Trump has found a bit of a soul mate in at least one of the 11 judges he’s considering for a Supreme Court seat.
Turns out Texas Supreme Court justice Don Willett is as prolific a Twitter-er as the man who would potentially elevate him to the Supreme Court. And Trump has more than once been the target of those tweets.
Sometimes it’s just politics in general for the judge, who was initially appointed by Gov. Rick Perry and has been reelected by voters twice
Trump, who maintains a steady Twitter stream of boasts and insults -- in March promised to release a list of potential nominees to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia in a bid to ease conservative qualms about his credentials.
In Willett, he at least found a like-minded Twitter user. Like Trump, and his 32K tweets, the judge is a frequent tweeter: he’s sent out more than 21,000 Tweets -- sometimes more than 10 a day.
But Democrats gleefully shared the (numerous) times Willett used his considerable humor (and gif skills) to troll Trump:

Willett on Wednesday laughed off the chance to comment on being named by Trump as one of his potential picks to serve on the Supreme Court.
Attending a book signing with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in Austin on Wednesday, Willett told reporters he was instead "exercising judicial restraint,” the Associated Press said.
