The Donald Trump campaign announced Wednesday it had raised $51 million in June, up sharply from the $3.1 million raised in May.
Trump, who previously announced he would be self-funding his candidacy, raised over $26 million from supporters last month. The campaign said 94 percent of supporters who contributed gave less than $200.
While Trump has significantly increased his fundraising since May, his totals still trail the $40 million Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton brought in last month.
In addition to the funds for his own campaign, Trump also raised $25 million for the Republican National Committee in the last week of May and June. The campaign said it co-hosted 22 fundraising events with the RNC.
The billionaire businessman gave the campaign $3.8 million, according to the campaign, bringing the entire total to $55 million.
Clinton’s campaign said she raised $28 million for the Democratic National Committee and state parties in June.
The Trump campaign’s finance chairman, Steven Mnuchin, said he was “extremely pleased” with the totals from June.
