There is increasing worry among Republicans, including top party leaders, donors and strategists, that Donald Trump’s erratic campaign is going to doom the party this fall – not just in the presidential race, but all the way down the ballot.

Key senators are distancing themselves from Trump. At least two Republican congressmen are saying they’ll vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. A group called R4C16, started by two George W. Bush administration officials, is urging Republicans to back the Democratic nominee.
