French President Francois Hollande will travel to Washington next week to meet with President Barack Obama as the White House Tuesday.
The meeting comes after last Friday’s terrorist that left 129 dead and more than 350 injured. French aircraft began bombing Islamic State positions inside Syria after the worst terror attack on French soil in modern history.
This visit will underscore the friendship and solidarity between the United States and France, our oldest ally, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said.
The two president will consult and coordinate efforts to assist France’s investigation into the attacks, discuss further cooperation as part of the 65-member counter-Islamic State coalition, and reiterate their determination to confront terrorism.
