"You touch my junk and I’m going to have you arrested." – John Tyner of Oceanside, Calif.
The now-notorious “don’t touch my junk” guy who resisted an enhanced pat-down at San Diego International Airport referred to the groin check part of the procedure as a “sexual assault.”
Which would make the Transportation Security Administration screener a rapist, or at least a molester, right? And since those screeners are performing the pat-down procedure multiple times a day, could they be considered serial sex offenders?
Sure, that’s ridiculous – almost as ridiculous as the fact that some people unhappy with the TSA’s new security measures are seriously pushing to make Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve, a “National Opt-Out Day.”
On the busiest travel day of the year, supporters are urging air travelers to lengthen the security process by opting out of body-imaging scans at airports where the machines have been installed, thus forcing TSA screeners to conduct more time-consuming pat-downs.
As one critic noted, that’s fine if you’re at the front of line, but not so much for those at the end – who very well may be delayed long enough to miss their flights if enough people participate.
